Integrated Reporting Awards 2022

Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa’s Integrated Reporting Awards are the leading awards of their kind in the Southern African business fraternity. The awards are co-hosted by the JSE Limited who have partnered with CGISA for the past 20 years. More and more organisations are adopting an integrated approach to their financial and non-financial reporting to provide a clearer perspective of their business performance, prospects and impact on stakeholders. As more and more companies realise that their integrated report is an important communication tool to key stakeholders, the interest in the awards grows.

The awards process commences in August 2022 and ends with a prestigious gala banquet on 9 November 2022 at The Wanderers Club, Illovo when the awards will be presented to winners in ten various categories.

Categories

The objective of the Integrated Reporting Awards is to encourage innovation and excellence in integrated reporting in Southern Africa across the board, not only in the top JSE-listed companies.

Companies enter their latest integrated report in one of nine available categories:

  • Top 40
  • Mid Cap
  • Small Cap
  • Fledgling/ AltX
  • State-owned Company
  • Public Sector
  • NPO/NGO
  • Unlisted Company
  • Regional Company (from other African countries)

The first four categories are determined by the JSE Ltd Top 40 Index, Mid Cap Index, Small Cap Index, Fledgling Index and AltX listing. Allocation to a category is determined by the respective company’s categorisation on the JSE Main Board on September of the specific year. The allocation of entrants into categories ensures that each organisation’s integrated report is scored against their peers.
