Sikonathi Mantshantsha Deputy Editor, Financial Mail Topic: Governing for radical inclusive growth

After matriculating in 1996, Sikonathi worked at Brait Securities as a bonds and equity trader. He then took a position at UBS investment bank as a trade support analyst.

In February 2004 he became the chief editorial researcher at Media 24 for Who’s who of Southern Africa. When the division relocated to Cape Town he joined Finweek magazine and Fin24.com as a financial journalist for 5 years.

In 2010 he was presented with an opportunity to join Bloomberg News as the Equities, Industrial and Markets reporter. Two years later he joined Business Day and Financial mail  as an Investment & Energy Writer. In 2015 he was promoted to the Money & Investment Editor and in 2016 become the Deputy Editor of the Financial Mail.
